What is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)? +

A PMHNP is an advanced-practice registered nurse with specialized graduate training in mental health. A PMHNP can assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions, including prescribing and managing psychiatric medication.

Do you offer in-person appointments? +

This practice is fully telehealth-based. All visits take place by secure video, so you can receive care from the comfort and privacy of your own home anywhere in California.

Who can be seen for telehealth visits? +

Clients must be physically located in California at the time of their appointment, since the practice is licensed to provide care within the state. Both adults and adolescents are welcome.

What conditions do you treat? +

Care is offered for a wide range of concerns, including depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD/ADD, anxiety, insomnia, PTSD, neurodiversity, adolescent mental health, and codependence. If you are unsure whether your concern is a fit, please ask.

Can you prescribe medication? +

Yes. Psychotropic medication management is one of the core services offered, including thoughtful prescribing and ongoing monitoring tailored to your response and goals. Treatment may include medication, therapeutic approaches, or both.

What happens during the first appointment? +

The first visit is an opportunity to talk through your history, current concerns, and goals. Together you will begin shaping an individualized plan for care, with ongoing follow-up that evolves alongside you.

Is telehealth private and secure? +

Visits are conducted over a secure, confidential video platform. You will want a quiet, private space and a stable internet connection so your session is comfortable and uninterrupted.

How do I get started? +

Visit the Contact page and send a consultation request with a little about what brings you here. You will receive a response to arrange your first appointment.

If you are in crisis or experiencing a mental health emergency, please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or dial 911. Telehealth visits are not intended for emergency care.

Mental health care is essential — and the process should be safe, personal, and deeply human.
